Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park – Evening Game Drive
Your 3 Days Mikumi Safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel, residence, or Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam at around 05:30 AM. After a warm welcome and safari briefing from your professional guide, you will begin the scenic drive to Mikumi National Park via Morogoro.
Along the way, you will stop in Chalinze for breakfast before continuing your journey. The drive takes approximately 5–6 hours, passing through picturesque countryside and local villages.
Upon arrival at Mikumi National Park, you will complete park registration, check in to your accommodation, and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first evening game drive, the perfect time to witness wildlife as temperatures cool and animals become more active. Enjoy the spectacular African sunset while searching for elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and predators.
Dinner and overnight: Mikumi Park Cottages or another selected lodge inside or near Mikumi National Park.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park
Start the day with an early morning game drive, when wildlife activity is at its peak. After breakfast, continue exploring the diverse habitats of Mikumi National Park, including open grasslands, acacia woodlands, and seasonal wetlands.
At midday, enjoy lunch at Mikumi Wildlife Camp, where you may have the opportunity to watch animals gathering around nearby waterholes while you dine.
In the afternoon, continue your Tanzania wildlife safari in another section of the park, maximizing your chances of spotting a wide variety of animals until sunset.
Mikumi is renowned for its abundant wildlife, and during your safari you may encounter:

After breakfast at your lodge, begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam at around 7:30 AM. You will stop in Chalinze for lunch before continuing the journey.
Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, we will transfer you to Julius Nyerere International Airport, your hotel, or the ferry terminal, marking the end of your memorable 3 Days Mikumi National Park Safari from Dar es Salaam.
